Here you find reliable statistics and information on the demographics, health and well-being of the inhabitants of the Euregion Meuse-Rhine (EMR). The EMR is an area where border regions of the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium come together. The EMR consists of the Dutch region South Limburg, the German Zweckverband Aachen (Städteregion Aachen, districts of Düren, Heinsberg, Euskirchen), and in Belgium the Province of Limburg and the Province of Liège.
On the left you can choose a topic. The topics include vital statistics from register data, as well as data gathered in different studies conducted in the EMR. When you choose an indicator on a specific topic, the dashboard will be filled with data on the Belgium, German and Dutch parts of the EMR. On the left you can now select another region if preferred. The maximum number of regions to be compared is 4. Regions can be deleted in the menu or the caption at the top of the dashboard.
Due to different data collection methods, comparing and interpreting the data of the different regions may not always be easy.
Select the tab ‘Read more’ to find information about the topic and the comparison between regions.
Select the tab ‘Justification’ to find information about the specific indicators, as well as data sources and information on geographical data availability.
Select ‘publications’ in the menu in the top right corner () for publications related to health and well-being in the Euregion Meuse-Rhine.
